Meet the Goodnews Haven Pastoral council


Pastor Godday Okosun

Pastor Godday Okosun is the senior Pastor of RCCG Goodnews Haven. He is married to Pastor Oluwayemisi A Okosun. He is an Economics graduate, with a Masters in Monetary Economics. Pastor Okosun worked as a lecturer in Nigeria for 11 years and as a Mathematics teacher in UK for many years before accepting the call into full-time ministry.

He is very simple to relate with and believes that Christianity is about relationship between man and God on one end, and man and man on the other end. He preaches the word with signs and wonders, accompanied with humour. His passion is to make the gospel available to all. He believes with God all things are possible.

Programs like GOODNEWS Anointing Service (GAS) and Touch the Master's Garment (TMG) show Pastor Godday Okosun's love and desire to see all free to live the life God has ordained for man-kind.


Pastor Mrs Yemisi Okosun

Mrs Oluwayemisi A Okosun is an Assistant Pastor and the wife of Pastor Godday Okosun.

She is an Economics graduate, with a Masters in Transport Economics. Pastor Yemisi worked with the London Underground in the UK and as a University lecturer in Nigeria for several years before going into ministry full-time.

With a keen eye for detail, an enduring passion for singing, teaching the undiluted word and counselling to impact and disciple as many God brings her way, she believes Jesus Christ came to save the sinners and not to shame them.

Pastor Yemisi coordinates the following units; Choir, Multimedia, Digging Deep, and Sunday School.

Pastor Yemisi continues to be a valuable asset as she leads the women's group – Similitude of Christ by her leadership and counsel.


Deacon Victor Fariyike

Victor Fariyike is a Surveyor by profession. He graduated from the University of Lagos with a first degree in Estate Management and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). He practised for over twelve (12) years before relocating to the UK.  Victor worked  briefly with South Central Limited (now Southern Trains) before he later joined  Haringey Council, where he worked for many years before joining another London Borough Council where he currently practises.

He has been a member of RCCG Goodnews Haven since 2006. His first notable assignment was to join in the establishment of the Children's department and later immediately put his hands on the plough to support the Pastorate to move the church forward.

He currently oversees the Children's department, Security & Intelligence unit and the Transport department of the church.

 He has also served as a member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for a consecutive period of 6 years from where he is due to retire in December 2015.

He is also a Teacher in the Digging Deep Department and a member of the Editorial Committee of the Church magazine.

Victor is happily married to Adeola and they are blessed with two children: Ola and Ope. He has a very strong passion for children and seeks to know God more.

Deaconess Omolara Alabi

Deaconess Omolara Alabi is a Specialist Radiographer. She practiced for many years in Nigeria, US and the UK.

She has been under the ministration of Daddy GO since 1985 as a member of University of Ibadan Staff Family Fellowship under the leadership of Professor Fola Aboaba. She joined RCCG Power Sanctuary Oluwo-Nla in Ibadan in 1992 and served as a member of the prayer team.

She assisted in various capacities in planting new parishes in Ibadan and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia before relocating to the UK in December 2001. She worshipped at House of Praise Woolwich and Charlton before joining Goodnews Haven in March 2005.

She is the Sunday School Coordinator, a department she is very passionate about and has been a member since the inception of the church. Mummy Lara, as she is fondly called also assists in the Children, Teenagers and Youth Ministries.

Deaconess Alabi loves teaching the Word and praying. She is a graduate of Christ the Redeemer Bible College.


Deacon Olufemi Majaro

Deacon Olufemi Majaro was ordained in RCCG Goodnews Haven. He is married to Sis Olatutu Margaret Majaro and they are blessed with children. He graduated as a Peri-Operative Theatre Nurse from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) where he worked as a Scrub Nurse for 9 years before moving to South Africa.

He studied Advanced Trauma Life Support at University of Witwatersrand Medical School South Africa. He registered and practiced as a Surgical Assistant in Swaziland for two years.  He joined RCCG Sanctuary of Praise (Lagos, Nigeria) in 1998 and served in various departments but very active in the Youth Church and Prayer band.


He is currently the President of the Men's fellowship and Coordinator of Welfare department in the church. He believes in holiness and is committed to the growth of the church of GOD.
