Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees oversees the church, developing strategy and monitoring the implementation of the decisions taken. Goodnews Haven is blessed to have five dedicated members of the board who contribute a wide spectrum of experience to the ministry.


Roy Bello - Chair of the BoT

Roy Bello is a member and minister of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (Goodnews Haven Parish). He is a Chartered Accountant specialising in taxation, systems design and audit with a successful professional career of over 15 years both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

He is also a Sunday school teacher and a regular columnist on finance matters for the church magazine.

He is a motivator and an encourager who believes that success is guaranteed through hard work and complete dependence on God for guidance. He is happily married to Mercy Bello, also a minister in the church.


Elizabeth Bart-Williams - Vice Chair

Elizabeth joined the Board of Trustees in June 2013. Elizabeth is a seasoned School Business Manager with a wealth of administrative, management and financial experience of more than 30 years across several sectors of the economy.

She is an active member of Goodnews Haven and continues to serve in various capacities including as the current Coordinator of the Multimedia Department.


Abimbola Taiwo

Abimbola Taiwo joined RCCG Goodnews Haven in April 2008. She holds a Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy from Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK. She also works part time as a Youth Advice Worker with Central Eltham Youth Project.

She coordinates the Youths/Teenagers and is a member of the following Ministries in the Church, Drama, Transport and Digging Deep. She is also a Home fellowship Teacher.

Her hobbies include, travelling, going out, watching movies, cooking and baking.

BT as she is fondly called was appointed as a member and Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees with effect from 1st January 2016.


'Dare Obigbesan

Pastor Dare Obigbesan is the Pastor of RCCG Comfort Haven, Sheerness, Kent.

He is a passionate believer who wants to see every soul won for Christ. He remains a close friend of the GoodNews Haven family and continues to provide his support as required. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2015 and provides pastoral advice alongside his valuable contributions to the BoT.

Pastor Obigbesan is married to Mrs 'Ronke Obigbesan and they are blessed with children.
